Policies

 

In order to provide the best possible service and remain fair to all clients, I ask that you comply with the following. Scheduling an appointment serves as your acceptance of these policies. Please read this page in full.

Prior to your arrival at Textūra Curl Studio, please style your hair in a wash and go and make sure it is completely dry. This allows me to see your current styling ability and natural curls. 

How to prepare for your appointment: 

  • Cleanse your hair with shampoo

  • Condition and detangle your hair 

  • Apply styling products, but do not use any raw oils (coconut/jojoba/etc), butters (shea butter), EcoStyler, Blue Magic, Cantu, Shea Moisture, food concoctions, or clays.

  • Air dry, diffuse, or use a hooded dryer

If you air-dry, make sure you start early enough so that your hair is 100% dry before arriving at the studio.

Avoid: tucking your hair behind your ears, braiding it, putting it in a bun or under a hat, using clips, hair ties, barrettes, curling irons, or flat-irons. This will impede the ability to assess the natural texture of your hair.

If it has been more than six months since your last haircut at the studio, you cannot book an Express Texturacut. You must book an Established Client Texturacut.

Payment

Textura Curl Studio accepts all major credit cards. Cash is accepted, but I do not have the ability to make change. Tips are graciously accepted, but not at all expected.

Cancellations
You may cancel your appointment online at any time free of charge up to 48 hours before your appointment time. If you cancel an appointment, you are welcome to reschedule for a future date based on availability.

If you cancel or reschedule less than 48 hours before your scheduled appointment time, you will be charged a late cancellation fee of $100. Texts, phone calls, Instagram messages, and emails are not acceptable forms of communication to cancel an appointment. All cancellations must be done via Acuity Scheduling by way of the link sent in your appointment confirmation email. No exceptions.

Late Policy
If you anticipate a late arrival to your appointment, send a text to (330) 322-5232. If you arrive 15 minutes or more after your scheduled appointment time, your appointment may need to be rescheduled. If your appointment needs to be rescheduled, you will be charged a fee of $100. This will not go toward a future service as it covers the cost of lost time.

No-Show Policy
If you do not cancel your scheduled appointment online within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time and you do not arrive for your scheduled appointment time, you will be charged 100% of the fee for your scheduled service and you will not be permitted to book any future services. Texts, phone calls, Instagram messages, and emails are not acceptable forms of communication to cancel an appointment. Fees
All fees assessed for violation of these policies will be charged to the credit card you leave on file when scheduling your appointment. If the transaction is declined, the fee will be added to the cost of your next appointment.

Guests
Due to the intimate atmosphere of the studio, I ask that you do not bring any guests to your appointment. This includes children, significant others, friends, and family members. Please make arrangements so that you can relax and enjoy your service time alone.​


Refunds
There are no refunds on payments for services received in studio, fees assessed for violation of policies, or for any deposits made. If you are unsatisfied with a service, and notify me within seven days, I will make every effort find a solution to meet your specific needs.
